Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's timing 'no accident' and 'tragedy', says royal expert

Meghan Markle successfully launched her new lifestyle brand – but the timing is being called question.

The Duchess of Sussex is back on Instagram with American Riviera Orchard, which went live on Thursday afternoon just moments before the Diana Legacy Awards.

Prince William had just arrived ahead of his speech at the ceremony, where 20 winners are chosen in honor of the late Princess Diana.

Prince Harry was also due to speak to some of the award recipients on the charity’s 25th anniversary via a video call.

However, one royal expert has claimed it’s ‘no coincidence’ that Meghan’s new business was announced on the very same day.

Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun that “nothing is accidental” with the Sussexes and claims it was “one-upmanship”.

“The announcement is totally consistent with the timing of all the Sussexes announcements,” he stated.

“Nothing is ever accidental. They do it to obviously push the news in their opinion.”

He even compared the situation to a “Grecian tragedy” and suggested Harry and Meghan are “very nervous about their Netflix contract, which expires next year… as it is absolutely pivotal for them because they lost Spotify.”

Russell Myers, the associate editor of The Mirror, suggested that Meghan’s business could be breaking a commercial agreement with Harry’s family.

He posted on X: “If you sign up for info on Meghan Markle’s new business venture, you’ll be notified about ‘products’. Clear breach of the agreement by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to not profit off their royal titles, is it not? Watch this space.”

William gave a speech at the ceremony, where he paid tribute to his late mother Diana.

The Prince of Wales said: “She taught me that everyone has the potential to give something back; that everyone in need deserves a supporting hand in life.”
