Prince Harry and Meghan eyeing up new deal for 'juicy' Netflix sequel with competitor

Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR told the Mirror: “It seems like Paramount could be a potential contender if they are close to Brian Robbins, the head of Paramount”.

“Netflix is reportedly not interested in producing kids’ shows or more films with them.

“Instead, they want to create a ‘juicy’ feature-length version of their about their royal past which at the moment would not be a good PR move for them, so it’s unlikely that will happen as part of their current Netflix deal.”

Carratt noted that Netflix cancelled Meghan’s animated series Pearl back in 2021 before production had even begun so now, since their contract isn’t renewed, they could be looking elsewhere.

She added: “Paramount could be an ideal home for that project.

“This year, they are producing a film which will stream exclusively on Netflix called Meet Me at the Lake, a film adaptation of the novel by Carley Fortune.

“That could be their final production with Netflix if their contract isn’t renewed.”

Harry and Meghan teamed up with Netflix in 2020, not long after they stepped down as working members of the Royal Family. Now they have just under a year left on their contract as it is due to end in early 2025.
