Playful Princess Kate’s sweet words to little girl revealed during special visit

This is the adorable moment when the Princess of Wales was seen complementing a little girl on the braids in her hair during a visit to a parents’ support group on Wednesday.

Kate, 41, joined a meeting of Dadvengers, a group of fathers and their children, to show her support for the important role dads play in children’s early years.

During the visit, she met the four-year-old Noa Redgrave.

The mother-of-three crouched down to Noa and while holding her hand asked if she could give her “lessons” on how to do plaits.

She said: “Do you think I can put plaits on my hair? Or would I need longer hair? I will try – next time I will try.”

While meeting the dads and the children, the Princess of Wales showed her natural ease as she walked through rainy London.

During the walk, Kate headed in front of a dad’s group to hold a gate open while the father’s pushed their prams through.

Founded in 2020, the Dadvengers group aims to provide the same support offered to mothers with a focus on mental health aid.

‘Dad Walks’ are an essential part of the campaign, given that strolling through fresh air is known to ease mental health problems and boost serotonin.

The royal gladly took part in one of the walks and accompanied fathers to the park in Arnos Grove.

The Princess was joined on her visit by DJ and songwriter, Jax Jones, who is one of the champions for her Shaping Us campaign, which aims to focus national attention on improving the first five years of every child’s life.

She was hosted by Nigel Clarke, the founder of Dadvengers and known for his work on The Baby Club on the BBC’s CBeebies.
