Organiser of pro-Palestine Remembrance Day protest worked for Keir Starmer until this week

An organiser of the planned pro-Palestine protest on Armistice Day worked for Sir Keir Starmer until just days ago, according to reports.

Ben Soffa is the Secretary of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign which has led marches in London for the last four Saturdays.

But earlier this week he also worked for the Labour Party as Head of Digital Organising.

Labour sources told The Sun that Mr Soffa had moved on in recent days.

A Labour source said: “We’re grateful to Ben for all his work for the party and wish him all the best for the future.”

Tory chairman Greg Hands claimed it was “shocking hypocrisy” from the Labour leader.

He said: “Sir Keir urged Labour MPs not to attend pro-Palestinian marches.

“Meanwhile, the man planning the pro-Palestine march on Armistice Day was working for Sir Keir in Labour HQ! He was sacked only when found out!”
