Omid Scobie shot down after making one comment about Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Esptein

Omid Scobie, author of the bombshell book Endgame, has been shot down by royal fans on X after calling out royal expert Angela Levin over her recent remark about Meghan Markle.

It has been revealed that the disgraced Prince Andrew has been named as one of the high-profile figures in the newly-released court documents relating to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Last month, a judge ordered that documents, which contain names of 150 people associated with Epstein, should be released. The Duke of York has vehemently repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, with Buckingham Palace previously calling the allegations “categorically untrue”.

On Thursday morning, Mr Scobie tweeted that Andrew had been mentioned 76 times in the #EpsteinClinentList but royal commentators, such as Ms Levin, are shying away from the news and discussing the latest speculation that Meghan Markle had been dropped by the talent agency, William Morris Endeavour, instead.

Mr Scobie quoted Angela’s tweet, which read: “Meghan’s name is not on her new agent William Morris’s website. Could she have beeen dropped quietly?”

Despite the subtle dig, royal fans appeared to come to Ms Levin’s defence by pointing out that her she made the tweet almost a day before the Epstein documents had even been released.

One fan wrote: “This was 21 hours ago, the list hasn’t even been revealed at this time [and] almost every Royal commentators have posted the list.”

Another wrote: “No to defend her, but, timing is everything, list hadn’t been released by then?”

A third fan also pointed out the timing, writing: “Had the list been revealed then? Timing is relevant.”

Despite Mr Scobie’s observation, many royal commentators and correspondents have posted about Andrew being named within the Epstein files, including Cameron Walker, The Mail’s Rebecca English and The Suns’s Matt Wilkinson.

Meghan Markle’s plans for 2024 have been discussed by many as of late but, earlier this week, speculation grew over whether William Morris Endeavour had secretly dropped the former royal from their books.

It was previously confirmed that the 42-year-old had signed to the agency in April 2023.

Many people, including Ms Levin, pointed out that her name was not on their website – however other fans pointed out that she was still listed as a speaker on Harry Walker Agency’s website – the one that both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed with in 2020 and which specialises in speaking engagements.

Alongside rumours that Meghan was hoping to branch out into a career in politics, there have also been reports that she is hoping to return to acting.

Meghan is best known for her former role as Rachel Zane in the legal drama, Suits.

Despite these career options floating around, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield recently said that the best career for Meghan was to be an “influencer”.

Ms Schofield added that she saw this as it is “all [Meghan] is capable of being”.
