House representative Nancy Mace, from Nikki Haley’s home state of South Carolina, said she would back the former president ahead of a key primary in New Hampshire today.
Ms Haley is the sole challenger to Mr Trump after Ron DeSantis pulled out of the race. Ms Mace said: “The time has come to unite behind our nominee.”
Her endorsement means that Mr Trump has secured four of the state’s six Republican House members.
Ms Mace had criticised him following the 2021 Capitol riots.
And Ms Haley, who lives in Ms Mace’s congressional district, backed her in a 2022 election.
But Ms Mace now says Trump is the better option.
