The mother of an 11-year-old girl found dead under a bed after being raped has described her horror, demanding: “I want justice.”
Maria Gonzalez had been home alone in Pasadena, Texas, on Saturday when she told her father who was at work that someone was at the door.
The attacker came in and committed the vile crime against the child, leaving the family heartbroken after finding her killed.
Maria’s mother, Ana Elizabeth Xitumul Saput, has now made an emotional plea, describing how she “doesn’t want to cry anymore because I have a bad heart”.
According to Guatemala publication Telemundo 47, the mother said: “I want justice.

“I need her killer to turn himself in and I’m asking God that kind-hearted people help us bring our daughter’s remains back to Guatemala.”
Ms Xitumul Saput has remained in Guatemala due to a health condition.
So far no suspects have been identified, but Crime Stoppers is offering up a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
Carlos Gonzalez, the child’s father, recalled how he had arrived at work when Maria messaged him at around 10am to say a stranger had knocked at the door.
He said: “I told her, ‘Don’t open the door because I am arriving at work,’ and she responded, ‘I am in my bed’.”
She responded by saying the “good, quiet girl” said she was “in bed” and wouldn’t open the door.
Maria’s auntie and uncle went to the property to check on her but five hours later when Gonzalez returned he found his daughter’s body.
Speaking to Fox 26, he added: “They left her under the bed in a plastic bag. They left my poor daughter.”
According to officials, Maria had been raped, strangled and suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
Pasadena Police Chief Josh Bruegger said the home showed no signs of forced entry.
