Moment Daniel Khalife arrested 'with bike and sleeping bag' after 76 hour jailbreak

Eyewitnesses have described the shocking moment the fugitive terror suspect, Daniel Khalife, was finally caught by undercover police.

The four-day manhunt came to an end shortly before 11am on Saturday September 9, when cops descended on a canal in west London.

Daniel Kahlife, 21, was found with a bike, a sleeping bag, and a Waitrose cool bag full of groceries before undercover plain-clothed police caught the escaped prisoner.

Witness, Ethan Andrews, was headed to the gym on Saturday morning when he spotted officers holding down a suspect beside a Grand Union Canal bridge.

The 22-year-old Bath student said: “I was crossing over the bridge and saw this man with cable ties around his hands.”

He added: “I keep up with the news and I recognised him and said ‘Is that the guy who was in prison?’, one officer said, ‘yes’.”
