Meghan Markle's one word response to Prince William's scathing text to Prince Harry

Looking visibly shocked, upset, and distressed, Prince Harry was given a big hug by his wife Meghan Markle, after receiving a scathing text message from his brother, Prince William.

The touching moment was captured in Harry and Megan’s six-part Netflix docuseries, titled ‘Harry & Meghan’, which was first released on December 8, 2022.

The moment has since gone viral on social media, as the pair can be seen in the footage, coming to terms with the message that was sent between the siblings.

Although the intricate details of what was exactly in the message was never revealed in the documentary, the loving gesture and big hug given by Meghan, suggests that the contents may not have been that friendly.

In the footage, Prince Harry, holds up his phone, so that Meghan can read a text from the Prince of Wales, which makes her respond with just the one-word answer, “wow”.

Meghan, who appears to be on the phone, explains: “H just got a text from his brother.”

Prince Harry turns to Meghan saying “I wish I knew what to do”, and his comments are received by Meghan giving her husband a huge hug as they rock side-to-side.

In ‘Harry & Meghan’, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex opened up about life behind palace walls and their relationship with the wider members of the Royal Family.

The docuseries also captured the initial moments after the headline-hitting interview with Oprah Winfrey and the couple’s reaction responses received following the TV airing.

Following the release of the series, Harry and Meghan’s documentary was nominated by the Hollywood Critics Awards in the Best Streaming Nonfiction category.

Harry and Meghan’s series broke streaming records as it became the biggest Netflix documentary debut, with a total of 81.6 million hours watched on its first four days of release.

At the time, a Netflix spokesperson said: “The bond with Archewell Productions is one we deeply value. Harry & Meghan launched as Netflix’s most spectacular documentary debut to date.”

Despite the success, royal experts are speculating on the couple’s demise of their Netflix deal, and whether it will be renewed as the contract is thought to end in 2025.

Prince William and Prince Harry have had a turbulent relationship since the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle stepped away from the Royal Family.

Despite tensions between the two brothers, it was Prince William that arranged the famous Windsor walkabout as a goodwill gesture towards his brother, following the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II, according to Robert Hardman’s biography of King Charles III.
