Meghan Markle's new solo venture sees her star in film promoting cause linked to Harry

Meghan Markle has narrated a video for a non-profit organisation which backs a very touching cause.

The Duchess of Sussex appeared in the clip and is also the voice of the video for the Fisher House Foundation – which builds comfort homes for members of the military, veterans and their families to stay while a loved one is in hospital.

The video – which was screened yesterday in a series of Invictus webinars – focuses on the power of recovery.

The organisation has long been a supporter and Premier Partner of Prince Harry’s Invictus Games.

In the video, Meghan can be heard talking about recovery, saying: “What does recovery mean to you?

“For some, it means reclaiming your narrative, refining your approach revolutionising your mindset. It’s a change that’s not only physical, it’s mental, emotional, social.”

She is then heard saying: “The Invictus Games show that this growth is about more than what meets the eye. The spouse coordinating doctor visits, the children celebrating milestones. The mother, father, fellow veteran, the friend.

“There is a community near and far, surrounding servicemen and women when they deploy and long after they come home.”

Meghan also touches on the subject of healing – something her husband has previously talked about this year.

She says: “Healing does not happen alone, it takes a village. And is for the village. And one of the most essential parts of the process is having people surround you who understand. To grow as one unit, to achieve limitless potential.”

“To remind us above all else, in this international family no one gets left behind. Because this is Invictus, we are Invictus together.”

Meghan can also be seen meeting with military families who have benefited from the Fisher House Foundation and hearing their stories.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany in September.

They attended many events together whilst they also met many athletes and fans during the tournament.
