Meghan Markle's candid admission about 'unladylike habit' she can't quit

Meghan Markle previously shared a list of New Years Resolutions on her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig – including a list of things she wanted to quit.

In the relatable post – which was shared before she met Prince Harry in 2016 – Meghan shared some ways in which she annually tries to improve herself.

She wrote: “Run a marathon. Stop biting my nails. Stop swearing. Re-learn French. These make my New Year’s resolution list nearly (AKA actually every) single year.”

The 42-year-old then added: “The marathon hasn’t happened. The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple of drinks.

“Then there’s the French a language I studied through high school and then lost as I immersed myself in speaking Spanish with the Argentinians during my stint in Buenos Aires.

“I have put my little Rosetta Stone headset in my eager ears every year, resolving to do interviews en francais, but much to my chagrin, it hasn’t stuck.”

She then shares her most “unladylike” one – biting her nails – writing: “And when it comes to the biting of the nails well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day. It’s unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit.”

Although her lifestyle blog is now a thing of the past, Meghan recently shared her latest venture – the launch of new brand titled ‘American Riviera Orchard’.

With details so far at a minimum, Meghan launched her brand-new Instagram account for the brand under the handle, @americanrivieraorchard.

With the launch of the account, the mother-of-two shared a new video showing her cooking up a storm and arranging flowers in their multi-million-pound home in California.

Following the release of the short video, it is believed that Meghan will be launching home items like tableware and textiles, as well as marmalades, fruit preserves, and cookbooks.

This comes after a trademark application for American Riviera Orchard was reportedly filed last month.

Speaking recently to the Mirror, PR expert Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR shared her thoughts on Meghan’s brand – and whether she is using her royal title to make money.

She said: “Meghan has always loved the luxury lifestyle. Before she married Harry, she wrote a blog called The Tig. Some people are calling America Riviera Orchard The Tig 2.0.

“Royal fans have noticed that the company’s logo looks like a Royal crest.”

Since stepping down as working royals at the start of 2020, Meghan now resides in the US with Harry and their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
