Meghan Markle upset 'dynamic' of Prince William, Kate and Harry trio before moving to USA

Meghan Markle upset the “dynamic” of Prince William, Princess Kate and Prince Harry’s trio before the Duke and Duchess of Suessex’s eventual return to the US, blasts Gary Goldsmith.

Princess Kate’s uncle has appeared to place the blame of the breakdown of Harry’s relationship with his brother and sister-in-law on Meghan – who he admits he’d never met.

Gary, 58 – Carole Middleton’s younger brother – is currently a housemate in the new series of Celebrity Big Brother on ITV.

Speaking on the second episode, which aired on Tuesday, Gary said that the trio – prior to Meghan’s arrival – had been “really comfortable together”.

Discussing the Royal Family with fellow housemates Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, he said: “So I have an opinion that Harry was really, really really loved and when they were a threesome, so Kate, William and Harry, they got really comfortable together.”

Adding Meghan into the mix, he added: “…then suddenly there’s an extra dynamic that comes in, puts a stick in the spokes and creates so much drama that I don’t genuinely think is there, and rewrites the history, saying they’re unhappy with us and I just don’t think that’s fair.”

Aside from his bond with his brother, Harry had once had a great relationship with Kate too.

Despite his bitter feud with the royals, the 39-year-old made his affection for Kate was displayed in his bombshell memoir, Spare.

Writing in Spare, which was released last January, Harry wrote: “I loved my new sister-in-law, I felt she was more sister than in-law, the sister I’d never had and always wanted, and I was pleased that she’d forever be standing by Willy’s side.

“She was a good match for my older brother. They made each other visibly happy, and therefore I was happy too.”

Meghan officially joined the Royal Family in May 2018, less than two years after she first met Harry.

Speaking of America’s response to Meghan and Harry, Sharon Osbourne said: “In the beginning, they were very very well received. They don’t understand it, but they do love it, you know?”

She added: “But it’s dwindling, dwindling, dwindling and there’s been some deals that they have done that haven’t worked well.”

Harry and Meghan moved to begin a new life in the US in 2020 – shortly after announcing their plan to step down as working royals.

The couple shared their departure news in January 2020, with their final royal engagement taking place two months later.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex now reside in California with their two children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.
