Meghan Markle and Princess Kate may both be married to princes, but the similarities between the two royal women don’t end there.
Kate and Prince William were accused by Prince Harry of not being as friendly to Meghan when he first introduced her to them, and it is known that the Duchess and the Princess never really clicked.
However, when it comes to their spare time the pair share a number of varied interests, from the sports they enjoy to the activities they take part in with their children.
Even their fashion choices have occasionally mirrored each other as both women navigate the royal style landscape.

Fashion
Kate and Meghan have a similar taste in clothes, with their matching fashion sense being observed on more than one occasion.
Both women wowed onlookers in bold fire engine red dresses in 2016, with Meghan showing off her look for a Today Show taping at the Rockefeller Center in July, while Kate stepped out in an extremely similar gown in September, albeit with a more asymetrical neckline.
The royals have also both rocked a sheer look, with Kate in navy blue and Meghan in brown, although as this was before her days as a Duchess Meghan was able to make it a little more revealing.
The two are fond of power suits, a trend that Kate has started adopting more recently, although hers tend to be a little more colourful.
Tennis
Tennis is a sport beloved by the Royal Family, as their patronage of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club and regular presence at Wimbledon can demonstrate.
Kate has served as royal patron of the club since 2016, but she is also a fan of playing the sport, having joined legendary tennis player Roger Federer on Centre Court for a YouTube video.
Meghan meanwhile is close pals with tennis heavyweight Serena Williams and has gone to watch her play many times – she was even a guest on Meghan’s podcast Archetypes.
Make up
The make up looks adopted by the royal women may vary depending on the occasion, but they have their reliable staple looks, with Kate and Meghan both preferring to keep it simple and natural.
Meghan’s go-to look consists of a brown smoky eye coupled with lashings of mascara, soft dewy-looking skin and lips in a nude or pink colour.
Kate, who notably does her own make up, also enjoys a smoky eye, pink lip and natural face, although she tends to favour more of a grey look on the eye.
Cooking
Even though they are busy mothers to young children, Kate and Meghan still like to find time to prepare family meals in the kitchen, something their kids can get involved in too.
On her now-defunct blog The Tig, Meghan would often share her favourite recipes and food recommendations, and she and Prince Harry love to prepare a roast chicken together.
Kate also loves cooking with her family, especially making cheesy pasta with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, although that didn’t stop Prince William from making a cheeky joke at her expense.
