Meghan Markle and Prince Harry show 'off the rails' as Duchess strikes out on her own

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been savaged following the Duchess’s talk at the American festival South by Southwest – royal expert Tom Quinn thinks Meghan will continue to reach for the limelight.

Meghan spoke at the SXSW Conference in the US yesterday with the panel focusing on women in media and entertainment. Meghan used her time on the panel to address cyberbullying and said she had been harassed online while pregnant. The talk took place on International Women’s Day.

Mr Quinn, author of Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing up in the Royal Family, speaking exclusively to Daily Express US, said: “I think the Meg and Harry roadshow has slightly come off the rails as people in the states and the UK lose interest.”

He adds: “I suspect Meghan would speak at pretty much anything to try to get things back on track.”

The royal author thinks Meghan will be “doing things on her own” because Harry is no longer “as much of an asset to Meghan as he was in the past.”

According to Quinn, it seems Meghan would like Harry “to do some things on his own,” but it’s not clear what that is, because “he has given up the only thing he was ever trained to do – being Royal.”

Meghan and Harry were spotted enjoying themselves out and about it Texas before the event.
