Man Utd informed it would take '£60m bid' for Juventus to shake hands on blockbuster deal

Manchester United would need to fork out £60million to prise Gleison Bremer away from Juventus, according to reports. The Red Devils are believed to be staying up to date on the centre-back’s situation as Erik ten Hag and his team of transfer specialists put plans in place for the summer window.

Bremer was recruited to replace Matthijs De Ligt in 2022 and he has played virtually every minute for Juve in Serie A this campaign. The 26-year-old’s consistent performances for the Bianconeri have piqued the interest of overseas suitors.

According to Calciomercato, Juventus have set the bar at £60m for any club weighing up an approach. United were reportedly ‘notified’ of the player’s price tag before attempting to gauge whether he would be interested in a move to Old Trafford.

Raphael Varane is due to be out of contract at the end of the season which will leave a major first-team vacancy to be filled under Ten Hag.

Bremer has developed into one of Europe’s most coveted central defenders. The 6ft 2in star made his senior breakthrough with Atletico Mineiro before leaving South America in 2018.

His stock skyrocketed across three impressive seasons at Torino, prompting Juve to swoop in 18 months ago with a £35m deal. The Turin giants would make a tidy profit if United decide to meet their hefty asking price in the summer.

The 36-year-old has started 10 Premier League games this term – more than many expected – although like Varane, he will be out of contract at the end of June and could move on to pastures new.

With a view to bulking up their back-line, United are reportedly keeping tabs on Sporting’s Antonio Silva, Bayer Leverkusen star Edmond Tapsoba and OGC Nice man Jean-Clair Todibo as well as £60m-rated Bremer.
