Man Utd 'in talks with HMRC' as unpaid tax could come to haunt Sir Jim Ratcliffe


Manchester United are reportedly in talks with HMRC regarding their large unpaid tax bill on arrangements with players and agents, which could have an impact on the club’s summer transfer plans. New minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is keen to kickstart a new era at the club but may be forced to operate within financial restrictions.

The i claim that discussions are ongoing between HMRC and the club, as the UK tax authority attempt to claim back what they believe is unpaid tax from numerous Premier League clubs.

Last year, as much as £124.8million in unpaid tax from top-flight teams was recouped.
