Ranvir Singh took the reins on Lorraine Kelly’s show on Friday’s episode and addressed her colleague’s absence.
It comes as viewers took to X and @FlopsyPickle quizzed: “So Lorraine has had the week off her own show but has been on three different other shows?”
@malachwiej_ chimed in: “It’s Friday. Give her a break.”
Ranvir told viewers Lorraine would be appearing on The Graham Norton Show tonight as she is currently doing the rounds to promote her new book The Island Swimmer.
During an earlier segment of the show, Ranvir went on to discuss Prince Harry’s latest tell-all interview with Good Morning America in the wake of King Charles’s cancer diagnosis.
The monarch is set to be the topic of conversation for Prince Harry during an interview on a prime TV show today.
The Duke of Sussex is set to break his silence on his father’s condition, just over a week after he went to see the King in London.
Ranvir chatted with co-star Ria Hebden who suggested a lot of people would be tuning into the interview but said others may feel the timing of the interview is “questionable” as the host addressed claims people may view it as a “PR stunt”.
“The couple have been seen together in Canada filming quite closely with Good Morning America presenter Will Reeve,” Ria explained. “Some people might find the timing of it is quite questionable given that Charles is poorly right now.”
Ranvir admitted she belived it was unfair to see the candid inteview as being more PR from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
