King Charles' royal tactic to be 'king of the people' exposed

King Charles likes going for walks, he’s very in tune with nature, and will stop to chat with people when he’s out and about, like when he was in the Scottish Highlands and ran into a group of mountain bikers.

He’s regularly seen smiling and asking questions and showing interest in others, and according to royal expert Pauline MacLaran, he is indeed personable.

Daily Express UK spoke to Dr MacLaran, a professor at Royal Holloway, who relayed an anecdote, saying, “Even when he came to Buckingham Palace as King for the first time, he actually stopped the car and got out and did an impromptu walkabout and talked to the crowds.”

She adds: “He’s always been held to be quite sensitive, I think he likes people, he’s definitely making a big effort not to appear aloof, to manage his image, to be a king of the people, if you like.”

But, like anyone, he can have his moments, like the now famous foutain pen moment, with MacLaran saying, “I think we can safely assume that he can be impatient and he can give out when he’s tired, but that’s understandable.”

“I don’t think there are any big hidden revelations behind-the-scenes, no.”
