King Charles' heartbreaking plea to Prince Harry and Prince William after tense talks

King Charles issued a desperate nine-word plea to Prince Harry and Prince William following a tense showdown between the warring royal brothers.

An explosive feud has been triggered by Harry and Meghan Markle making several claims against the British Royal Family since they moved from the UK to the US in early 2020.

The close bond Harry once shared with Charles and William now appears to be shattered, with relations believed to have plunged to rock bottom.

Harry has only been reunited with his father and brother on a handful of occasions since moving to the US, and one of those came in April 2021 when the Duke of Sussex returned to the UK for the funeral of Prince Philip.

But the tense standoff came just weeks after Harry and Meghan’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, which seemingly saw the rift explode and prompted Charles to issue a heartbreaking plea to his two sons.

The prince claimed in his memoir Spare that the three royals got together after paying their respects to Philip in an attempt to iron out their issues.

Harry said he had felt “cut off” when explaining his feelings to the two royals before a heated argument between him and William ensued.

This, according to Harry, prompted Charles to look at both of them and say: “Please, boys – don’t make my final years a misery.”

Later in Spare, Harry also wrote that he was “stopped cold” when William used a “secret code” they had for “times of extreme crisis”.

The younger brother claimed how Williiam forced him to look into his eyes so he could tell him how much he loved him and how happy he wanted him to be.

Harry wrote he told William he loved him too but pulled away after telling him that his “stubbornness is extraordinary”.

He then claimed William pulled him back and said: “Harold you must listen to me, I just want you to be happy, Harold, I swear, I swear on mummy’s life.”

The Duke of Sussex added in his memoir: “It stopped me cold, as it was meant to. Not because he’d used it, but because it didn’t work. I simply didn’t believe him.”

Harry has not been seen in public with the rest of the British Royal Family since he and Meghan attended the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.

The prince returned to the UK in June for the Coronation of King Charles but cut a distant figure sitting three rows back at Westminster Abbey before returning to the US immediately after without seemingly speaking to his father or brother.

The Duke of Sussex was back in the UK last month for the WellChild Awards in London and remained in the country for the anniversary of the Queen’s death the following day.

But once again, it is understood he never met the King or Prince of Wales.
