Just Stop Oil's most bizarre protest to date as they invade Barbie section of Hamleys

Just Stop Oil has launched its most bizarre protest to date. The climate protest group have invaded the Barbie section of Hamleys as part of their latest campaign of disruption. A member of the group was reportedly heard showing: “I want my son to grow old and die in his bed.”

The protester, who was standing at the top of an escalator, announced that she was part of the protest group and shouted that thousands would die from the extreme heat that would envelop society.

She allegedly said: “It does not have to be this way.” The woman claimed to be demonstrating to protect her son’s future.

She proclaimed: I want my son to grow old and die in his bed, not because he’s dealing with war and famine and floods and drought.”

Her protest came as Just Stop Oil marched through the capital. Between 10.11am and 11.14 am police in London attend to reports of protest on several streets including Marylebone Road, Marylebone Flyover, Tufton Street, Shaftsbury Avenue, Tower Bridge, Great Portland Street, Bishopsgate, Embankment, Pimlico, The Strand, and Hanover Square.

Other footage shows protesters trying to block traffic and failing to stop a pickup truck careering past them.

The Metropolitan Police issued section 12 conditions to clear the road in three areas of London this morning
