Just Stop Oil eco mob brutally mocked after calling themselves 'ordinary' as just 65 march

An eco mob group slow marching through London with just 65 people has been mercilessly mocked after referring to themselves as “ordinary people”.

Just Stop Oil filmed themselves blocking buses and holding huge banners earlier today as they pledged their stand against the Government’s “genocidal policy” of new fossil fuels.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, a statement says: “Ordinary people are in the road at Parliament Square, calling out our government’s genocidal policy of new fossil fuels.”

Police can be seen surrounding the small crowd, with a Just Stop Oil leader orchestrating their movement through Parliament Square, which is north west of the Palace of Westminster.

But their efforts to cause chaos on the roads, in the interest of freedom of speech, has fallen on deaf ears with many people poking fun at their stance.

One X user said: “Ordinary people? Most ordinary people have work to go to. Guessing all ‘65’ are self employed?”

Another added: “Can we scrap the wording “ordinary people”?”

Others were more critical of the lack of support JSO had garnered from its own members, with under 100 people taking to the streets with banners and placcards.

One person said: “65 out of 67,000,000 is not much to shout about really.”

The group vows to march until they “win” – and urges people to join them in a bold message on its website.
