Jelena Ostapenko was furious with an umpire at the Brisbane International and demanded that they are banned from officiating her games in the future. She lost her cool in the third set of her 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 defeat to Victoria Azarenka and began to hit out at the umpire for a decision on the court.
“You are blind, it is impossible to play when you make so much mistakes,” Ostapenko said to chair umpire Julie Kjendlie. “I never want you at my match again. You will never be at my match. I don’t want you at my matches, you ruin my matches.”
