F1 LIVE: Red Bull 'set for mass exodus' after Newey as Ferrari sent Verstappen dig

Red Bull have been warned to expect a host of exits behind the scenes, following chief technology officer Adrian Newey out of the door.

Ivan Capelli, who worked with Newey between 1988 and 1990, believes that if the 65-year-old takes up a new role at another team then he will be joined by several members of the current Red Bull setup.

“At 65 years old, going away is a major challenge in which you put everything back on the line,” Capelli told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“And, by the way, it occurs to me that by logic he will not leave alone, an engineer of that calibre takes his loyalists with him, since in a new structure he will have to be immediately operational and active. That is, if it happens at all.

“For me, he would come with his lieutenants. And there would be a further revolution that might not give an immediate result.”
