Firm paying Prince Harry 'seven figure salary' to let go of 100 workers

Staff at a life-coaching firm in California are reportedly questioning what Prince Harry does, as 100 workers are set to be let go.

San Francisco-based BetterUp laid off a number of workers last week. However, the firm reportedly pays the Duke of Sussex a seven-figure salary as its chief impact officer.

According to the Daily Mail, the workers claim the Duke is a “distraction,” with one worker concluding that with Harry “the juice isn’t worth the squeeze”.

Another BetterUp employee was asked what the Prince’s day-to-day responsibilities within the company are. They said: “From what I see I’m going to go with zero things.”

The workers spoke up as experts have encouraged the Sussexes to rebrand themselves to further their Hollywood career. They have reportedly suffered a number of recent setbacks including an axed Spotify deal.

Commentator and Royal podcast host Kinsey Schofield advised the couple to change direction and explore reality television. She said it would give people an insight into their lives.

The US website Daily Beast says the workers at BetterUp have now turned on Harry. A former employee said he initially thought Harry’s arrival was “cool”.

However they said staff soon began to find him a distraction with many fearing his ongoing dramas might impact on the company’s reputation.

The employee said: “Every article mentions his role at BetterUp then goes on to roast [him and Meghan Markle]… The juice isn’t worth the squeeze.”

Another said the company pushes “woke credentials”. They said: “We’re all there because of the same bull**** story they keep telling us: ‘We’re mission driven, and the mission is going to change the world.”

In March, the Duke appeared at the company’s “Uplift” conference to talk about “what gets me out of bed every day”. At another event he spoke about the dangers of burnout and how he likes to meditate.
