Fate of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's website rests with little known royal official

The website they created at the time – Sussex Royal – was also banned from use.

Now a source claimed the Sussexes’s recent rebranding is giving a “real headache” to the one royal official who must decide what to do about it.

They told the Mail that some inside the royal household believe Harry and Meghan are “really pushing it” with Sussex.com in keeping with their agreements from 2020.

They added that the new website would provide a “big challenge” for Buckingham Palace’s Lord Chamberlain, who according to the insider, must decide “whether to take the Sussexes to task or ‘let it slide’ in order to keep the already fragile family peace”.

The Lord Chamberlain is the most senior officer of the Royal Household who supervises the departments which support and provide advice to the monarch, as well as acts as the main channel of communication between the monarch and the House of Lords.

The current Lord Chamberlain is the Lord Parker of Minsmere, who has been in office since 1 April 2021.

Previously, he worked for the MI5 from 2013 to 2020.
