Fans spot major clue Meghan Markle is plotting to boost Netflix content

Meghan Markle was spotted enjoying a Beyoncé concert, just metres away from Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos and his wife Nicole Avant, in what fans have suggested could have been more a business outing than a pleasure one.

In pictures from Beyoncé’s show at the SoFi stadium in California from Monday night, Meghan is seen dancing and nattering while sat next to Mr Sarandos and Ms Avant.

Among the topics of conversation could have been Meghan’s husband Prince Harry – whose new documentary about the Invictus Games recently dropped on the streaming platform.

While the documentary was seen as a flop – failing to make Netflix’s top ten in either the UK or US – Meghan has enjoyed other successes on Netflix.

Among these was the legal drama Suits, which helped make Meghan one of the world’s most recognisable TV stars.

Suits saw a resurgence back in June and July after hitting 3.14 billion minutes of viewing time over seven days.

It comes as claims emerged that Netflix executives paid £3million for the film rights to a romantic novel Meghan and Harry will produce.

Reports originally speculated that the Sussexes personally paid for the rights to Carley Fortune’s Meet Me at the Lake.

But an insider claimed to Page Six, Netflix actually purchased the rights for the Sussex to produce it under their Archewell Productions company.

Adam Brannon, a film expert and found of Movie Metropolis, told FEMAIL the film could become a major hit for Netflix.

He said: “There is potential for Meet Me at the Lake to be one of Netflix’s most popular films, joining the likes of Red Notice, The Adam Project, Purple Hearts and Extraction.

“Romance films, especially those based on novels generally perform very well on the streaming service, becoming sleeper hits in which they silently rack up millions of viewing hours over longer periods of time when compared to all-out blockbusters.”

Monday’s show was the third installment of three dates for Beyonce as part of her Renaissance world tour.

Meghan was also at the first gig on Friday night and on that occasion was accompanied by Harry.

This week Harry heads to Europe for the WellChild Awards in London and then to the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf.

He will also mark the anniversary of his grandmother, the Queen’s passing.
