Expert's damning 13-word verdict on why Harry and Meghan will never return as royals

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were savaged by a royal commentator who claimed there is no way back to royal life for the Montecito couple after their “appalling” behaviour towards the Firm, even with King Charles and the Princess of Wales out of action.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been estranged from the royals ever since they quit their duties and moved to the US in 2020.

The pair have been engulfed in an ongoing feud with Harry’s family across the pond after they made a series of sensational claims against them throughout the years.

But recently their royal return has reemerged as a big topic of discussion following the shock announcement of King Charles and Princess Kate’s cancer diagnoses.

Now a royal commentator has dismissed any claims of the Sussex pair ever returning to the UK as working royals with a daming verdict.

US-based journalist and royal commentator Lee Cohen exclusively told Express.co.uk: “They [Harry and Meghan] are completely untrustworthy and have shown they are unsuitable for royal service.”

Mr Cohen said the couple “should never” be welcomed back into the fold, no matter the monarchy’s struggle to juggle the workload, because of their “unforgivable attacks, betrayals and appalling behaviour” towards the Firm.

He explained: “With their unforgivable attacks, betrayals and appalling behaviour vis-a-vis the Royal Family, the Sussexes will likely never – and should never – be welcomed back to royal service as a couple.

“No matter how small the bench is for available working royals.

“They are completely untrustworthy and have shown they are unsuitable for royal service.”

It comes as Prince Harry is set to return to his home country early next month to attend an event for the Invictus Games in London.

Sources claimed the duke is longing to meet with his father, in a bid to mend their damaged relationship following his cancer diagnosis, with another expert suggesting he should make the effort to meet his older brother, Prince William too.

Harry’s trip back has not been officially confirmed yet.
