Ex-footballer banned from darts for two years after guilty match-fixing verdict

“The Committee found that he was in breach of the DRA Betting Rules 2.1.2 and 2.1.3. Jack Main has been suspended from attending or competing in DRA governed events until 31st December 2025 and to pay £762.41 in costs. He has the right to appeal the decision of the Disciplinary Committee.”

Main hit two nine-darters in two days at the Players Championship in 2022, while he also made a splash at the UK Open in the previous year, where he made it to the third round before crashing out in a deciding leg to Ryan Searle.

The Norwich-born former footballer came close to regaining his tour card last January with a deep run at PDC Qualifying School, but ultimately fell short.
