Epstein's alleged remarks on Clinton and Trump's preferences for young women

Former US President Bill Clinton “likes them young”, Epstein once said, according to the alleged victim of billionaire financier Epstein.

Presidents Clinton and Donald Trump, both 77, and the late “King of Pop” Michael Jackson, 50, were among those whose identities were revealed for the first time.

Although the former US leaders are named, the evidence accuses neither Presidents Clinton nor Trump of any wrongdoing or impropriety.

In her court deposition, Johanna Sjoberg, who claims she was a victim of Epstein, was asked about his comments on President Clinton.

Referring to girls, she said that although she never met him, “[Epstein] said one time that Clinton likes them young”.

President Trump’s name also appears in Ms Sjoberg’s testimony.

Her deposition said Epstein once suggested a stop at one of the property mogul’s casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

She added that the pilots of Epstein’s private jet informed the group they were forced to reroute from New York City and Epstein said: “Great, we’ll call up Trump and we’ll go to…the casino.”

During questioning, Ms Sjoberg said she met Jackson, who died in 2009, but did not provide him with a massage.

She also said she met magician David Copperfield, who she said was a friend of Epstein’s.

The court filings are contained in a defamation lawsuit brought against Ghislaine Maxwell by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre.

It came after the 62-year-old British socialite called Ms Giuffre a liar over her claims that she was sexually abused as a minor.

The case was settled in 2017 but the names have remained under lock and key until now.

Lawyer Marc Randazza, who fought to get the records unsealed, said the documents could answer many lingering questions about Epstein’s sordid affairs.

He said: “Who was involved, and how did they get away with it, and how far into people who are really in power does this reach?”

“And why was it kept under wraps for so long?”

Mr Randazza added: “Who managed to exert that kind of power, because the court should never have [sealed the documents] in the first place?”

“And the extent to which the court has protected this information is irregular.”
