Donald Trump turns on former aide as he slams 'sleazeball' The View co-host

Donald Trump branded former staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin a “sleazebag” and a “loser” after she defended a CNN town hall in which the former president recently appeared.

Taking to his social media platform Truth Social, Trump branded the The View co-host a “backstabber” for claiming his interview exposed him as “radioactive for independent and moderates.”

Griffin said: “America got to see who he is last night: a ranting, raving lunatic, who sided with Vladimir Putin.”

But Trump soon replied on the platform: “Backbencher in the Trump Administration, Alyssa Farah, like so many other sleaze bags, had only glowing reviews of the Trump Administration until long after she left. A loser then, and a loser now! More to follow.”

Trump accompanied his outburst with a past video of Griffin singing his praises while still working at the White House.

Despite previous clashes with CNN, the former president continue his tirade calling the broadcaster “lovely” for hosting him and claiming both The View and CNN were now being pressured to fire Griffin.

There is no evidence neither the programmer nor the network has faced any such demand.

Trump continued: “Word is that they are revolting at the ‘View’ and CNN, and want Farrah OUT! Much more to come.”

“She tried to delete her words, but we got them ALL. I don’t see how she lasts because this ‘stuff’ shows what a phoney she is.”

The former president then moved his focus on the backlash his town hall appearance drew in from CNN staff and left-wing puddings, pointing out that over three million people had tuned in to watch him.

He continued: “They won’t be able to take the Radical Left Heat, just as CNN wants to fire the ‘boss’ because of the absolutely lovely Town Hall they just put on.

“One of their biggest rating nights in years, & they are begging for mercy. CNN, let’s do another one.”

The town hall put CNN CEO Chris Licht on the spot as notable names at the network openly criticised the network for agreeing to Trump’s appearance.

Veteran correspondent Christiane Amanpour told a group of Columbia University students that she would have “dropped the mic at ‘nasty person’,” – a reference to Trump calling that moderator Kaitlan Collins during a presidential debate.

She also hit out at CNN for the live event as Trump was not challenged over lies about the last elections in front of a crowd that mostly appeared to comprise Trump supporters.
