Donald Trump threatens to deport Prince Harry for taking drugs amid visa battle

Donald Trump has hinted that he could deport Prince Harry should he become president again in November, as his visa struggles mount.

If Prince Harry is discovered to have lied on his visa application regarding his drug use, he will not get any “special treatment”, according to Trump.

Prince Harry has lived in the US with Meghan Markle since their exit from the Royal Family in 2020, and now he is reportedly considering becoming a citizen.

In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry admitted to taking cocaine, cannabis, and psychedelic mushrooms before entering the US, which is typically grounds to reject a visa application.

Farage questioned Trump on the “special priviliges” Prince Harry could enjoy due to his status as a royal. Trump replied: “We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action.”

Farage followed up by asking if “approporiate action” could mean “not staying in America”, to which Trump said: “Oh I don’t know. You’ll have to tell me. You just have to tell me. You would have thought they would have known this a long time ago.”

Turmp previously made it clear he would not “protect” Prince Harry should he be found to have lied about taking the drugs on his visa application. His reason being because the Duke “betrayed the Queen”, leaving him “on his own” to fight his legal battle.

Despite admitting to taking the drugs, Prince Harry answered “no” when asked if he’d taken drugs before entering the country, a standard question on a visa application.

The department announced on Monday that it would need two extra weeks to source the records before a federal judge decides if they should be made public.

They lawyers wrote: “Defendant has begun the search but searching for and reviewing the records has taken longer than anticipated.”
