Donald Trump claimed Hitler 'did some good things,' former chief-of-staff claims

Donald Trump praised Adolf Hitler for doing “some good things” and commended Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un during his time in the White House, his former chief of staff has claimed.

According to revelations from General John Kelly, Donald Trump allegedly made positive remarks about historical figures Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Putin, as well as North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, during his time as president.

Kelly recounts Trump’s views in an upcoming book by CNN journalist Jim Sciutto.

Kelly claims that Trump expressed admiration for Putin and Kim, referring to them as “OK guys.”

He said: “[Trump] said, ‘well, but Hitler did some good things’. I said, ‘well, what?’ And he said, ‘well, [Hitler] rebuilt the economy’.

With the upcoming presidential election in November, Trump’s recent victory in Super Tuesday virtually secured his position as the Republican candidate, prompting Nikki Haley to end her campaign.

A potential rematch between Trump and Joe Biden is expected, though neither candidate has clinched the required number of party delegates for a majority.

Delegates across several US states will cast their votes on Tuesday, with the possibility of either candidate securing a majority.
