Donald Trump ‘can’t wait to be arrested’ as thinks it will be ‘fun’ to watch chaos unfold

As of Wednesday morning, the former President still walks free as no charges have been filed.

And while some fear chaos should the 45th President be indicted, sources close to Trump say he sees it as a big opportunity.

A source shared that Trump’s team “are very pumped about” the chance of a charge.

“The Manhattan DA, NYPD and even the Department of Justice were trying to work out a quiet handover coordinated with the Secret Service,” they said.

“And Trump was having none of that. If an indictment and arrest happens, he wants it to be public.”

They added that Trump is in “high spirits” and people are planning to “try and film and document it with their own camera crew, they want a shot of him in cuffs and will release the mugshot”.

“They are loving this stuff,” the source added to Page Six.

“He wants to be defiant — to show the world that if they can try to do this to him, they can do it to anyone,” one person who spoke to Trump over the weekend told the New York Times. He is said to have described a possible specatacle as a “fun” experience.

After plans were drawn up for his arrest, Trump urged his supporters to “take our country back” and protest against any moves to indict him.

The call to action worked, as some of the MAGA faithful have vowed to barricade the former President’s house and fight off any police, according to the Daily Beast.

Posting on far-right forums, some have suggested creating a “Patriot moat” around Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in South Florida so law enforcement can’t enter.

Another Trump supporter, Ali Alexander, suggested his fans should shut down all routes to Mar-a-Lago to defend their idol.

On Monday night, Trump revved up his attacks against the Manhattan DA, describing himself as the “all-time favourite President”, while condemning “the most disgusting witch-hunt in the history of our country”.

Trump then added: “They’re not coming after me, they’re coming after you.

“I’m just standing in their way and I always will stand in their way.”
