The Dartford Crossing has been hit with major delays due to a “police incident”. Traffic cameras show queues stretching 10 miles on the M25 approach roads.
The QE2 Bridge, linking Kent with Essex, is currently at a standstill in both directions as police arrive on the scene and have declared it closed for the time being.
According to National Highways traffic is affected between junctions 31 1A on the clockwise carriageway. Drivers have also been warned that delays could last until 12.15pm – with queues growing.
