Diner 'who did runner on £215 meal bill' is landscaping firm boss

A man caught on CCTV allegedly doing a runner from a Cornish pub after racking up a £215 bill has been identified as a paving firm boss who lives on a caravan site. Edward O’Reilly is believed to have shared a Sunday lunch with family at The Fisherman’s Arms, Newlyn, near Penzance, before allegedly leaving without paying.

It is believed Mr O’Reilly denies the allegation. Express.co.uk received no answers when it tried to contact the businessman who runs Kings Landscaping.

He lives in a static caravan at a site next to the A38 in Plympton, Devon, according to MailOnline.

The pub took to social media after the dine and dash on Sunday, with police confirming they were aware of the allegation.

It tweeted: “Anyone know who these people are? Just did a runner without paying, 2 went out the front door and 2 out the back!”
