'Cocky' Prince Harry 'not remotely' bothered as he accepts controversial military award

“Harry also inspects his medal before he starts his speech, with a ‘this is nice’ as he looks down at it.”

During his 10 years serving in the military, Harry completed two tours of Afghanistan as a forward air controller and an Apache helicopter pilot and rose through the ranks to Captain.

But despite completing tours and countless training missions, the Duke’s award nomination has angered some military pilots who felt it was unearned.

Speaking to The Sun, retired military officer Colonel Richard Kemp suggested Harry was being honoured “because of who he is – not what he did,” adding: “An Apache is crewed by two people – a pilot and a gunner. Harry was a gunner. He was number two in the aircraft.”
