Cheltenham Festival LIVE: Results, racecards, tips and updates from day two


It was a brilliant start to the 2024 Cheltenham Festival for Willie Mullins who can make it a century of winners today. Yesterday, on the first of four days of racing, Gaelic Warrior, State Man and Lossiemouth all finished first to take the trainer to 97 victories at Cheltenham alone.

Mullins has three more odds-on favourites in Grade 1 races today. They are Ballyburn in the two-and-a-half mile opener, Fact to File in the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase and El Fabiolo in the Queen Mother Champion Chase.

There are four total Grade 1 races today, starting with the Gallagher Novices’ Hurdle at 1.30pm. The Novices’ Chase follows that at 2.10pm before the Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle at 2.50pm.

The Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase commences at 3.30pm and is followed by the 4.10pm Glenfarclas Chase. The penultimate race of the day is the 4.50pm Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Challenge Cup Handicap Chase. And day two will be rounded off by the Weatherbys Champion Bumper at 5.30pm.
