Brits more sympathetic to William and Kate after Harry and Meghan docuseries, poll shows

Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary has created more sympathy for Prince William and Kate Middleton, a news report has stated. In a survey by YouGov for The Times, 44 percent of the respondents stated that they had more sympathy for William and Catherine, compared with just 17 percent for Harry and Meghan.

The survey was conducted after Harry and Meghan released their six-part Netflix series in which the royal couple detailed the breakdown of their relationship with the Royal Family.

The episodes also tackle Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the media.

They both opened up about the toll the media attention has had on their lives and relationships both individually and as a couple.

The analysis also found out that almost half of the British public think the Duke of Sussex should be stripped of his royal title following the release of his Netflix documentary.

A total of 44 percent of respondents said that Prince Harry should have his title removed, compared with 32 percent thought not.

During the show, Harry and Meghan didn’t shy away from talking about race and the racism they have experienced.

Meghan admitted to being initally caught off-guard by it, while Harry said: “My children are mixed race, and I’m really proud of that.”

A total of 23 percent said the six-hour series, released this month, had made them think worse of Harry and Meghan, opposed to just 7 percent who said it made them think better of the pair.

Despite the other YouGov findings, 51 percent of the British public still think Harry and Meghan should be invited to the coronation next year while 31 percent disagreed.
