“His bravery will inspire Cancer patients around the world. The people of the UK must be very proud.”

Yesterday, Buckingham Palace announced King Charles had been diagnosed with a form of cancer, though the type of cancer has not been revealed.

It was discovered during his recent treatment for an enlarged prostate, but the palace has confirmed it is not prostate cancer.

The King, who will postpone his public appointments while he attends regular treatments for the illness, apparently “remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible”.

No further details have been shared on the stage of cancer or a prognosis, but it is understood King Charles has personally informed his sons of his diagnosis.

Prince William is said to be in regular contact with his father, while Prince Harry will reportedly be travelling from his US home to the UK to see the monarch in the coming days.
