Birmingham Airport closed after 'suspicious' item found on Aer Lingus plane


An airport in the UK has been shut after a suspicious package was found on board a plane.

The Aer Lingus flight was heading to Belfast from Birmingham when it was forced to return to its starting point, reports Daily Star

The airport has been officially closed down “until further notice”.
