Arcturus Covid strain kills five Brits as variant spreads across the globe


The new “Arcturus” strain of SARS-Cov-2 — the virus that causes COVID-19 — has killed five Britons, the UK Health and Security Agency have reported.

Arcturus, which is also known as Omicron subvariant XBB.1.16, was first identified in India back in late January.
