Widdecombe blasted: “Harry and Meghan [Markle] said they were going abroad for privacy and they’ve done nothing but go public ever since.”
The commentator added that Harry’s behaviour towards the royals and the effect his mother, Princess Diana’s death has had on him “cannot be used as an excuse forever”.
“[Diana’s death] cannot be used to define him forever, he should rise above that.
“[It may be reality] but it’s been turned into an excuse. I’m sick of hearing ‘our poor old Harry’, William went through exactly the same.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been estranged from the Royal Family ever since they quit their royal duties back in early 2020.
Ever since then, the couple have made several claims and accusations against the royals through a series of interviews, their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, as well as Harry’s memoir Spare.
They have also been linked to various figures attacking the Firm like author Omid Scobie, who’s released two explosive books about the royals, Finding Freedom and Endgame, however, Harry and Meghan tried to distance themselves from the latter.
