Zara Tindall sparks mystery over one X-rated nickname that she has for her husband Mike Tindall.
Just like us, the Royal Family are known to have special nicknames for one another – particularly the couples.
During an interview on the Total Sport Podcast, Zara appeared to open up about nicknames that she and husband Mike – who also appeared on the podcast – have for one another.
After discussing how the pair affectionately refer to one another as “munchkin” – a name which Mike said they say “a lot”.
Mike said: “We basically call each other munchkins a lot. I don’t know that started but it has stuck.”
Mike then revealed that his wife also has another seemingly X-rated nickname for her husband – one he is called in her phone.
He added: “I will let Zara decide whether she wants to give away what I am down in her phone as…”
Zara then said: “He is in my phone as something else and it ends with kitten.”
She, however, didn’t disclose the full name but sparked mystery for the listeners with her reply.
The couple’s response then sparked host – and former rugby player – Rob Burrow to ask about any nicknames that their fellow royals have.
Speaking of Prince William, Mike said: “For the Prince of Wales, he is known as One Pint Willy. He is known to me as One Pint Willy because he is not the best of drinkers, coming from a sport where it is built on the social aspect and a couple of beers being sunk quite often. That is one I will give away for the Prince of Wales.”
Laughing at her husband’s revelation, Zara then told Mike that he was in “so much trouble”.
In the interview, Zara was also asked how she feels about her mother Princess Anne’s decision to not give her and her brother Peter any royal titles.
She claimed that she feels “lucky” for her mother’s decision as it gave her the opportunity to “do it her way”.
Mike and Zara got married in 2011 and now share three children – Mia, nine, Lena, five, and Lucas, two.
