Woman in tears after being forced to cut herself free from 'one size fits all' jumpsuit

A woman was left in tears after she was forced to cut herself from a “one size fits all” jumpsuit designed to fit sizes up to 3XL.

Plus size influencer Phaith Montoya said she used pliers to free herself from the garment after its zip became stuck.

She shared a clip discussing the jumpsuit which came from a small, unnamed business, that showed her face wet with tears.

Ms Montoya, who has three million TikTok followers, blasted the business, saying that when an item is listed as fitting people up to 3XL, it should “mean that”.

In the video, she added that she was left bleeding after it became too tight and nearly had to visit the emergency room.

In the clip, which has since been viewed 720,000 times, she explained she became stuck in the item when its zipper was lodged in her skin.

A panicked-sounding Ms Montoya said the zipper caused her to bleed after it captured “so much skin”, and her mother nearly took her to the hospital.

To prevent it from tearing at more of her body, she wrote that she “had to cut the whole outfit off”.

The influencer hold up several strips of black fabric to the camera, showing how she had to shred the clothing to escape.

She added it was “traumatic” to pull her skin from the zipper and called on companies again to ensure that their advertisements match what they send.

As the video ended, she held up another item she had ordered from the same company, an unworn jumper.

But she said the zipper had broken before she even had a chance to try it on.

Her followers were shocked by the footage, with dozens of comments lending their sympathy.

One said they were sorry to hear about her experience, saying it must have been “awful and traumatising”.

Several viewers shared similar experiences, with one saying zipper pain “is the worst” because it causes even more pain as they attempt to remove the clothing.

One commenter said: “I did this with jeans and cried for 30 minutes. Most painful thing ever.”
