Woman hailed for perfect response to nightmare neighbour parking across her driveway

A woman has been hailed for the way she dealt with her nightmare neighbour who had been constantly parking in front of her driveway.

She took to Reddit to explain how her neighbour had three cars and only one parking space so asked a neighbour on the other side who did not have a car whether he could park one there, they agreed but then without warning he parked his other car in front of her drive.

The woman who lived at the house with her husband explained how she did not have a car as the pair did not like driving and felt public transport in the town was of a good standard, but said the fact he did it annoyed her as he never asked.

She also said the neighbour’s car caused problems when the couple had family coming to visit in a car meaning they had to ask him to move it to which he “gets mad as if we were asking for a favour”.

But when the woman got a promotion at work meaning she had to be in her office three days a week, she decided to take revenge.

She says the couple then decided to get a car and parked it in their own space, but the next morning she went to leave for work and found her neighbour’s car blocking the driveway once again.

The woman said: “I rang his doorbell like crazy at 6am and when he finally came out I asked him to move and to not park there anymore.

“He got defensive and said that my neighbour let him park in front of her house, to which I answered ‘yes but this is my house, and if you block my entrance again I’m going to remove your car’.

“He moves and the next day he is blocking again. We realise he left the car open so we let the handbrake off and pushed the car to the middle of the street, in front of his driveway.

“I put a note on his windscreen saying ‘next time it’s a tow truck’, put tape over his doorbell so it continues ringing and I left as quickly as I could. He hasn’t said anything since but he hasn’t parked there any more.”

The woman was inundated with comments on her post praising her for the “awesome” revenge plot.

One commenter said: “That is awesome, what a way to handle the problem.

“He will think long and hard before blocking your driveway again.”
