Woman dubbed 'brutal blonde' seen dragging climate change activist from traffic by hair

A woman has been given the nickname “brutal blonde” after she dragged a climate change activist from blocking traffic in Germany.

The video showed a woman screaming at a climate change protester to “get up” after blocking a road in Bottrop, Germany.

The woman was then seen grabbing the activist by her hair and dragging her to the side of the road. When she returned to block the road a second time, the German woman dragged her by her hair again.

According to police in Recklinghausen, the activist was lightly injured in the altercation.

Police said they are looking at the videos and photos of the incident to determine if charges should be issued.

Climate activists from The Letzte Generation – translating to The Last Generation – posted the video of the “brutal blonde” and have been staging protests similar to Just Stop Oil in the UK.

Videos have shown drivers getting out of their vehicles to yell at and forcibly remove the protesters.

The activists have been using methods like glueing their hands to the road so they cannot be removed without the fire department chipping out the cement underneath their hands.

One activist screamed in pain as a responder tried to free his hand, according to a video that circulated on Twitter.

Activists from the group also blocked plane traffic at two airports on Thursday by glueing themselves to the runways in protest against pollution.

The stunt caused hours of delays and dozens of cancellations, with Hamburg forced to delay, cancer, or divert 46 flights.

“The Last Generation isn’t protecting the climate, they’re engaged in criminal activity,” Transport Minister Volker Wissing said.

“Instead of presenting a concrete plan to prevent this and to reach the emissions-reduction target called for by law, the Transport Ministry is relying on ‘technological flexibility,'” the group wrote in a statement following the airport protests.
