Woman dies days after son found dead in bin bag in Queens

The mother of a dead man found in a garbage bag has herself died.

Sources locally say the man was dragged from a property after his death. It comes as Roscoe Danielson, 40, was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with the alleged murders of Sheryl Myrick and Kyle Danielson.

The NYPD found Myrick’s body at around 2.45am at an address in 104th Street in the North Corona area of Queens. According to the NY Post, it comes less than 24 hours after Kyle’s death.

Law enforcement sources say Myrick was discovered with stab wounds, a slit throat and multiple gunshot wounds.

Meanwhile Kyle’s body was reportedly found just before 2pm on Wednesday. A passer-by is said to have discovered blood leaking from a white bag covered by a blanket.

Footage believed to be of the incident appears to show a man dragging Kyle’s body onto the sidewalk before walking off with a shopping cart. It appears to have a bottle of bleach inside.

One neighbour said: “He had the stroller in one hand and was dragging the body with the other hand. He didn’t run. He blended in. He walked off, like nothing happened.”

The NYPD said Kyle suffered a puncture wound to his neck.

Investigators believe Kyle and his mother were killed during a dispute. Although the exact nature of the incident remains under investigation.

Sheryl Myrick’s brother Andrew told the NY Post: “That’s not right. It’s not right. It’s not right. That was my sister. My birthday is August 8, hers is September 1. When I turn an age, she turns an age. All my life.”

The grieving man said his nephew had been a “great guy” and a “jewel”. He added: “Sometimes we don’t have answers as human beings. I am going to die. We are all going to die one day, but we just want to go the right way, not the wrong way like how my sister went.”

A neighbour said police had knocked on her door asking to see her security footage after a dead body was dumped outside her house. Once officers opened the bag, she saw it was “fully naked”.

“Of course, I was shocked, of course,” she told the NY Post. “It was wrapped in thick sheets, bloody thick sheets, and then a very hard bag,” she said.

She believed the body could have got the attention of a passer-by because of the smell. She says there was a “lot of flies”.

The neighbour also recalled seeing a man “going back on forth screaming, ‘He killed my sister. He killed my sister. He buried her in the backyard,’” on Wednesday.

That same man was reportedly seen touching the body bag as workers from the city Medical Examiner’s Office removed the woman’s body from the home Thursday. He declined to speak to local media.
