Who is Thomas Kingston? Husband of Lady Gabriella Windsor's life in full after sudden deat


The family of Thomas Kingston has released a heartfelt statement after his death aged 45, but who was the husband of Lady Gabriella Windsor?

Financier Mr Kingston married Lady Gabriella Windsor on May 18, 2019 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle with both Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in attendance.

He was a financier who attended Bristol University and Amherst College and met Lady Gabriella while working as a reporter for Time magazine.

During his time as a journalist, he also wrote a controversial article about his relationship with Lady Gabriella and the Royal Family for Vanity Fair.

Mr Kingston’s father is lawyer William Martin Kingston KC and his mother, Jill Mary Kingston, is the granddaughter of Sir William Joseph Pearman-Smith of Park Hall.

Following his death a statement was released on behalf of Lady Gabriella.

It read: “It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother.

“Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the whole family and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing.”

The King and Queen also extended their condolences to Lady Gabriella and Mr Kingston’s family.

A Buckingham Palace statement read: “The King and the Queen have been informed of Thomas’s death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family.

“In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family.”
