Where Meghan and Harry might enjoy their summer holiday with Archie and Lilibet

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are likely looking at how they can entertain their two young children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, during the summer break.

Despite their children not yet being of school age the couple will be keen to keep the youngsters occupied as they break from pre-school.

Prince Archie attends a pre-school near the family home in Montecito, California but it is not known if Lilibet does the same.

Unlike the UK, children in the US are not required to start school until they turn six, meaning Harry and Meghan have even more time to keep the children busy.

The family home is not short of activities with the royal’s Netflix docuseries showing their home has grounds for walking as well as a pool.

The Sussexes also have dogs and chickens on the grounds.

Famous neighbours include Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise and Ellen DeGeneres who could make good house guests for the day.

Hello! magazine previously said the neighbourhood is “renowned for its secluded hillside estates that promise the utmost privacy. Harry and Meghan’s property is situated on a private road with a lengthy driveway and large security gates.”

However, if they want to veer from the comfort of their home they have a number of options on their doorstep.

Montecito is home to a number of beautiful beaches spanning the length of the coast making a great space for sunbathing and a dip in the sea.

The Santa Barbara Zoo is also a popular spot to see thousands of animals including great apes, leopards, bears and penguins.

Nearby Ty Warner Sea Center also gives the family the opportunity to spot some sea life.

In recent weeks the family has been spotted out and about more in the area with Meghan and Harry taking a trip to the local farmer’s market last week.

The couple were pictured just weeks after Prince Harry took two-year-old Lilibet to a Fourth of July parade not far from their home.
