Fired Fox news host Tucker Carlson announced on Tuesday that he will be putting out a “new version” of his program on Twitter.
Tucker told his followers “we’re back” in a three-minute video that denounced mainstream media bias while teasing his new project.
“We’ll be bringing a new version of the show we’ve been doing for the last six and a half years to Twitter,” he said.
Tucker added: “We’ll bring some other things, too, which we’ll tell you about. But for now we’re just grateful to be here.”
Rallying against mainstream media, the ex-Fox host said: “You often hear people say the news if full of lies. But most of the time that’s not exactly right. Most of what you see on television or read in the New York Times is in fact true in the literal sense. It could pass one of the media’s own ‘fact checks’. Lawyers would be willing to sign off on it. In fact they may have. But that doesn’t make it true. At the most basic level, the news you consume is a lie.”

Elaborating on his point, the fired cable host brands mainstream media as dishonest, omitting salient facts from a story to shape a desired narrative.
He continued: “Speech is the fundamental prerequisite of democracy. Amazingly, there aren’t many platforms that allow free speech. The last big one remaining. The only one in the world is Twitter. Where we are now.”
Tucker suggested that his new offering will put right these wrongs but offered no other details.
